黨Ƶ University School of Law (WNE Law) has announced the launch of JD Access, a groundbreaking part-time evening online Juris Doctor program designed to expand access to legal education for working professionals, non-traditional students, and others whose life circumstances make traditional, on-campus attendance challenging. The program is one of approximately only 20 online JDs in the U.S. and will welcome its first cohort in Fall 2026.

Fully accredited by the American Bar Association, JD Access upholds the same rigorous academic standards as WNE Law’s full-time and part-time day residential programs. The innovative format blends synchronous online classes and asynchronous coursework with limited in-person residencies, offering students the flexibility to balance their studies alongside professional and personal commitments.

“JD Access embodies our mission to advance justice, expand opportunities, and educate lawyers who make a difference,” said Zelda Harris, JD, Dean of the School of Law. “This program opens doors to legal education for students who might otherwise be excluded because of geography or life circumstances—without sacrificing the academic excellence and personal connection that define WNE Law.”

Key Features of JD Access

- Flexible Online Format: Combines real-time (synchronous) classes with self-paced (asynchronous) learning modules.

- Part-Time Evening Structure: Designed for working professionals, with short, required residencies to build community and professional networks.

- Experiential Learning: Students will engage in meaningful pro bono work through the Center for Social Justice at 黨Ƶ University.

- Multiple Completion Options: Students can complete the program in 3.5 or 4 years, with optional summer courses available.

- National Reach: Open to students across the country, regardless of where they live and work.

Building on WNE Law’s long-standing commitment to public service and advocacy, JD Access preserves the personal attention, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities that distinguish the School’s on-campus programs.
